Words

it's easy to put words down on paper
they bubble up effortlessly as if the had a life of their own
the eyes too, help in this process
the paper clip, the paper cup all seem like topics for a  poem
"the power of things" "the things I cling to" 'the things I love"
they could all be poems to yet come alive ...
but the words themselves have a power ... they can soothe hurt heal
and that too can be a poem
as it is written:
"In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God."
And my all time favorite,
"Not that which goes into the mouth defiles a man;
but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man."
and they always leave out the most important part:
because what comes out of the mouth 
shows the wickedness of the heart!
One can remain silent ... 
But of course, actions do speak louder than words...
and sometimes silence says more
