sometimes waters get all mixed up
threads flow down stream and even upstream--
it has been known to happen

sometimes water with water becomes one
indivisible, unchanging

it can be impenetrable ice, diluting liquid
or hottest gas
yet water remains water

it can be a conductor, a destroyer, a creator ...

and like the water,
so is the energy that bind spirits together
unchanging, unalterable,
its power flows beyond time and space
its force renews all strength
