sometimes, like today

sometimes i think that i'm thinking your thoughts
sometimes i feel that i'm feeling your feelings
sometimes i dream that i dream within your dreams

sometimes my breath gets caught by your burning breath
sometimes your presence occupies my spaces
and you're more than me within myself

sometimes i burn with the fires of burning desires
and I lose myself in the stretch of your body
and it is sometimes you who take me to explore your body

sometimes the brightness of your light envelops me
sometimes words from your innermost self call out to me
sometimes it is my strength that overwhelms you

I feel sadness, yet I’m not sad; Absent the sense of your presence That accompanies my loneliness Far into unknown places.
