Friends and vultures

In time one learns to differentiate between friends and vultures: Friends are those that, when you fall apart, help you pick up the pieces to make you whole again. Vultures are those that wait for you to fall apart to just pick up the pieces and consume them--or use them in for their interests or that of their friends.

In the spiritual world, the vultures are called parasitic spirits.
