the universe speaks

i won't worry
the heat the cold the wind
rain and snow
are beyond my control
and so is love
as nature manages the elements
so I let the universe shine its power
not an abdication but rather a realization
that when the light shines in another
it is the universe speaking
there is no time for analysis
or fears
the power of love works in a perfection
that is beyond our capacity
i don't believe in piercing cupids
but do believe in galloping Hephaestus
and the gallant Prometheus
who deliver fire and the creative force
and do too believe in the many Odysseys
we must endure to clean our earthly shadows

I feel sadness, yet I’m not sad; Absent the sense of your presence That accompanies my loneliness Far into unknown places. I lost myself in my words— The ones casting my road; I’m too lost in the dreams That weave a labyrinth before me.
