dreamings

it was a funny dream
the hallway, the clothes--all beige
the stairways was a nice touch
the double set of doors was interesting detail
the room itself in deep reds
and I loved the playpen for the cats
and then you in a style all new
and you the same
and people in other rooms asking
and you giving
and I threw myself on the floor
and the cats came running
and I woke up when someone spoke
and I feel a sense of nostalgia

I feel sadness, yet I’m not sad; Absent the sense of your presence That accompanies my loneliness Far into unknown places. I lost myself in my words— The ones casting my road; I’m too lost in the dreams That weave a labyrinth before me.
