ruminations&+
I have committed many a thought to these pages and chosen also to omit so many others ... there is a spell behind words, and mostly my fear that my words be used against me ... not every person is well meaning ... there are those who will rejoice with you while there are those who will rejoice at your misery and, even more insidious, those who knowing you well will keep your misery alive -- much like a pusher and an addict ... I know of those who will manipulate you to keep you attached to them even if they know that the attachment contributes to your unhappiness -- it is only their desires that matter -- I know of many who will sabotage the happiness of others almost as sport ... they have the influence to do it--and so they do.
But really, in all this hammering, it just takes understanding ... few of our well meaning friends take the time to understand what we need--too caught in their own needs and wants they just push upon us what they believe may make them happy and by extension-us!! But foolish of us to not listen to our hearts and instead embark on a journey of having others figure it out for us, figure out our feelings for us--such an endeavor will always lead to disappointments.
But as I was saying, words have an intrinsic power ... so it's best to let some things remain private ... and only give them to the ear that needs to hear it ... everything else is art, or something like it
The spirit explores, communicates, creates -- gives us the creative edge -- we can express it in words, images, gestures ... silences even.
But of the worse things to keep near and dear to our hearts is fear -- that we must experience and expel ... the fear to love, to say a word, to let an other love and speak to us -- that is the worse of all -- it leads to dead-ends that are hard to back up from -- and that is also part of the creative journey.
But life does go on and we grow -- or we stagnate in the sullen interior loneliness that is the very mirror of hell. We can play at happiness, and we often do -- but in the end the heart knows -- and it either blooms, or it withers.
