great builder and destroyer
elusive companion in our daily journey
inescapable yet nonexistent,
illusive in your manner
an enemy to all that perishes
indestructible yet tenuous
infinite your nature, omnipresent
yet infinitesimally smaller than a neutron
every breath and thought is stamped by your destruction
and every act of creation a testament to your very nature
when man gazes into your essence
a joy indeed, or his despair
an understanding fills the core
yet escapes it.
