no words to express the lack of something
I can't quite put words to it
it's feeling, but not a feeling
a desire but not a desire
the force that drives me fails me
but I continue to forge ahead
and play the game to be
play along with satisfaction
play to find meaning in a string of words
play that the taste of food moves me
play that the curves of a body awaken desires
play to admire the colors of the sunset
play to enjoy the waves, the sound of the ocean
but it all feels like drinking when one is not thirsty
yet a deep thirst remains.
