Why disturb my slumber-
Why fill me with your sadness?
If not intending to remain and bring me joys,
Or the love my heart desires.

Why then awaken me?
Where is your happiness?
Why bring me sadness and longings?
Where is your love and joy
Where has it gone?

Why fill me with apprehensive fantasies,
Why awaken my desires?
Why can I feel you, seductive energy?
I keep finding you in my dreams
Yet awake you're nowhere to be found.
In dreams we play at lovers
Yet awake at strangers play!
