if I may take the liberty to interpret, I think she means that sex is an act we perform that does not have to be attached to an emotion--it's purely a physical need. Engaging in sex as a precursor to falling in love or developing a deep emotional bond, however, that would be ridiculous; you fall in love with someone and sexual desire follows ... not the the other way around.
