Time&Change

the wheels that turn ... the constant movements of objects centered on the same orbit
as the philosopher said, "all objects want to persevere in their present form; the rock always wants to be a rock and the tiger a tiger" ... it's an elemental maxim for all basic life forms -- those void of thought or emotion ... while for higher life forms, change is necessary for growth ... one cannot stay repeating the same patterns that lead to spiritual obsolescence and stagnation -- much as externally we might distract ourselves with objects and activities, the spirit languishes in the repetition of patterns. Growth requires that we extend beyond the realm of expectation.
