karmic redemption
so i read somewhere recently that with love one achieves redemption-- one cleans the karma slate clean as it were ... but karma seems to be a very persistent little bugger .. for many (and I will use the third person though myself included) fears and addictions that we carry with us keep us stuck --
now, if we believe in reincarnation, unless we rid ourselves of the karma that is keeping us stuck, we will find ourselves repeating many of the same patterns in our next existence or existences ... and while some of the karmic barriers manifest themselves as physical additions--drugs, alcohol, sex, etc-- they are really our emotional baggage ... the drugs, sex and alcohol addictions are just the way to numb our emotional pains ...
so how do we do it ... well, probably we all have to identify our pain point and walk into the fire ... and if love be true, it will cleanse us -- the myth of the phoenix is not such a bad allegory, after all.
