How so the crafty devil, he the opportunistic parasite
he plays his game with mastery,
the circus clown he plays without a fault
even the most serious of actors he will exemplify;
he can seduce the smartest non-believer
his act as natural and as genuine
does not require his rehearsal time;
he changes colors, hue and form
to play the part most opportune::
he can be the most loving of lovers
the most thoughtful of friends
the defender of the poor, the most spiritual man
none of these convictions have true foundation in his heart
and yet with his presence his audience he will often exhaust
his force their evil thoughts is sure to bring forth
and yet in all the pomp and glory
the sly of hand, the quick sentiment
will leave his audience occupied
and they applaud, applaud, applaud
this crafty spirit their respect will have procured.
