Déjà vu or simply kismet?

Déjà vu is a tricky word ... mostly because everyone has an understanding of it ... it literally means "already seen" ... and it's that feeling we get when we are in the middle of an event that we seem to be able to remember ... or appears as if we're remembering it ... to me it has always been a bad omen as it would mean that I am repeating a life--in other words, I'm spiritually stuck ... every so often I get that feeling, or I used to ... not so much anymore ... now I feel uncertainty, a certain incongruity, a certain "what/where/why"--also not a good thing-- life should feel right ... for a long time my life felt like it was flowing ... some might say complacency; I say that I was walking the right path ... then suddenly it all started feeling wrong, disconnected ... as if truths were being ignored, hidden, not said--and this goes in many direction: with myself, others ...

But why Déjà vu and not kismet? of course, dictionaries have poor translations of the word Kismet. It doesn't meet fate or destiny ... it means that a set of random possibilities come true in order to create a moment in time, a meeting of two people, and accident, etc ... that is way different that fate/destiny!! My favorite example is from a British movie: A woman gets up late one day, misses her bus, gets wet and has to go back home change, misses yet another bus and gets on a double decker bus that is packed full so she has to go sit in the top level which is exposed to the elements on a very cold winter day. As the bus speeds to city centre, a rich woman accidentally drops a mink from a high rise apartment and guess who it falls on? -- well, that is Kismet.
