Shifting colors

the constellation breaks in the twilight
reflections of light against the deepest of space
and I wonder how you shift in the light and shadows

the waves break against the shore, the wind that comes and goes
the sun creates sparkling shapes far, far in the far away
and I wonder how you manage to blend in with the horizon

the moon dances with the burning stars
the firmament holds the many worlds of dreams, the light and darkness
and I take the words that drive my dreams to go in search of you

I feel sadness, yet I’m not sad; Absent the sense of your presence That accompanies my loneliness Far into unknown places.
