Word smith

I missed you
Today
More than any other
Day
In the last few days
Your precense near suddenly far away ...

So what to do to bandage the burn
A day's day journey away of images
Neatly stored in their labelled boxes:
"Not for today"
"Tomorrow's thought"
"For a day of nostalgia"
"For missing so-and-so"
"Palliative for bad memories"

And so on ... the exercise of wordsmithing
Polishing my A's and B's and even the W's
In an attempt to make it all better
Much like those who replay their horror stories
In an attempt to handle the memory.

How does one forget? I wonder ...
And I could start another mini exercise
To not look at and to not be burned by
The resplandecent fire at my core
That eats away my days
And nights too!
