The Hierophant Is The Spiritual Teacher Or Shaman That Will Help You Through The Most Challenging Times Of Your Life...

The Story About Chiron

In Mythic Tarot, and Greek Mythology, you meet Chiron (the wounded healer). Chiron was born a centaur (half horse and half man). In legend, before Chiron was born, Saturn fell in love with a sea-nymph named Philyra, and they had an affair. Philyra and Saturn turned themselves into horses, and became incognito to others because Saturn was married. Later, Philyra became pregnant and delivered a bastard child named Chiron. She was so ashamed of Chiron because he was born a centaur (half horse and half man) that she abandoned her child and Chiron grew up alone, in isolation.

Chiron holds a scroll in his hand that represents the education and wisdom he was going to achieve in his lifetime and the white light represents the blessing of his education and how he was going to become a gifted healer and help others. Instead of growing up to be a savage like most centaurs did, Chiron grew up to be smart and compassionate, and he became a talented archer, musician, healing physician, priest, and he tutored foster children. Fortunately, Apollo (the sun god) and Artemis (the goddess of the moon) adopted and educated Chiron so that he could reach his highest potential.

Later, Chiron was made the king of the centaurs because of his great wisdom, and he became a great healer that used plants and herbs to heal others. But later, Chiron was struck with a poison arrow, and he was unable to heal himself, and it was said that he lived with this wound forever, because he was immortal.

Did you know that Chiron resides in your natal birth chart? Chiron represents the area in your life were you feel different, isolated, and unable to heal yourself because of something that you went through? Did you know that your difficult experience would become your gift that was going to benefit you, because your experience was going to help you heal others?

My Interpretation Of The Hierophant: The Hierophant is a healer and represents the Shaman, helping you to find the healing that you need during the most trying and challenging times of your life. This healer may be a counselor or a person similarly possessed of the educational experience necessary to help others.

This card also represents the rules and vows connected to society, marriage, religion, work, and anything involving large groups. The Hierophant represents the rules of these organizations, and is the teacher that comes into your life to help you.

Every group has rules, says the Hierophant, and if you follow their rules as a member of the group, they will accept you. If you flout the group’s rules, however, they will demand that you beg mercy for your transgression, shunning you otherwise. For example, rejecting the rules of society, establishing your own code of conduct will end with your peers branding you a rebel. Regardless, God gives you the choice to live as you see fit, and it cannot be denied that at one time and in one form or other, everyone who walks the Earth has been or will be a rebel.

The Hierophant also represents your inner calling from above to connect to your higher spiritual path to help others, and in return, your work will bring you abundance, growth and opportunity.

I went through my inner spiritual calling when I heard a strong voice, the voice of my spiritual connection, resounded within me: “You are going to write a book in three years!” I feel that my book turned out to be a healing book because I was brave enough to share my personal intimidate experiences, with each card and always talking to you as the teacher and your friend. My book is a study of each card in detail, and represents your personal Tarot encyclopedia that explains and solves your questions about the Tarot, and the connection to your life experiences, one step at a time.

Remember the Hierophant is the problem solver, because the Hierophant is able to share personal experiences with you, on an intimate level, which will help you heal your spirit. The Hierophant is your spiritual teacher that resides inside of you, every step of the way. All you have to do is start to listen and trust your inner voice.

The Reverse Meaning Of The Hierophant: The groups you belong to are not flexible, and they require extreme conformance to all of their rules. Disagree, and you will be shunned and removed from that group.

Life Lessons: Always remember the Major Arcana represents major life lessons. If the Hierophant comes out in the outcome of the reading, it means you may meet a spiritual teacher, shaman, mentor, or counselor that is going to help you; or you
