He named her the most beautiful woman on Earth and awarded her the golden apple! Paris chose Aphrodite based on his sexual desires and attraction to her body and would face the consequences of his choice. He had failed to notice the power and strength of Hera and Athene and he would incur the wrath of their anger and hurt feelings!
After the beauty contest, Paris changed his mind and said that Aphrodite's half sister, Helen, was the fairest in the land. Paris and Helen ran off together to the city of Troy and thought they were going to live happily ever after, but the Trojan War started as a result of Paris changing his mind!
My Interpretation Of The Lovers
