an advent

Hi G---. In Greek Mythology you meet Apollo, the sun god. Apollo wears a golden sun crown on his head decorated with a laurel wreath. He is related to the zodiac sign of Leo (the zodiac sign with a big heart), and the fifth house of your natal birth chart, the area that relates to: fun, romance, sports, entertainment and children.

In legend, Apollo teased Cupid about his archery skills which made Cupid angry! Cupid decided to take revenge and teaches Apollo a big lesson (the Sun is related to the Major Arcana, and represents the life lessons you’ll experience). Cupid fired off two love arrows, and the love arrows are infused with love spells to make two people fall in love with each other. However, Cupid dipped the first arrow in a golden love spell, and the second arrow was dipped in bogus love spell.

The first love arrow hit Apollo and the second love arrow hit a nymph named Daphne. Apollo instantly fell in love with Daphne, but Daphne ran for the hills, because she wanted to remain a virgin for the rest of her life and never marry. Unfortunately, Daphne’s father was against her wishes and wanted grandchildren. Daphne begged and pleaded with her father until she finally convinced her father to allow her to stay a virgin for the rest of her life, and never marry and have children.

Apollo chased after Daphne, and moments before Apollo caught her, Daphne’s father saves her, and turned her into a laurel tree that was rooted to the ground. Apollo was hurt and heartbroken and decided to wear a laurel crown wreath to show the world that his love for Daphne will never die!

The Sun represents your new identity as a child. The new ascendant is confident again, and you’re child self is free and wants to explore all the possibilities of love again. The conscious and subconscious are in perfect balance...

They Say Your First Love Never Dies

Some say that your first love never dies, and that first loves hit you the hardest! The Sun casts a renewed light that illuminates on your future and, in spite of any past periods of darkness you have endured, the Sun brings a good omen of rejoicing and celebration. The cycle of darkness has been completed. The Sun represents your conscious and subconscious selves, which have reached a level of harmony and balance, just as a child starting afresh.

Your new identity as a child reborn is ascendant, and you will soon relish the full power of the Sun in the death of your old self. Confident with the spontaneity of purity, innocence and naiveté, your child self is free of the past and beholds the future with happiness and the hope of success.

The shadow of the Moon is gone and you’re able to see a new day again, energized, obstacles and difficulties resolved. The Sun heralds a time when you’re feeling healthy, happy and able to see your life in a new light. The Sun represents success, with the darkness of the past lifted, a time of celebration and feeling unified with unconditional love because you’re finally happy and content.

The upright position: You’re leaving the past behind, and you’re crawling out of your subconscious and into your conscious, into the light of the Sun and the time of now! The Sun casts a renewed light that illuminates your future and, in spite of any past periods of darkness you have endured, brings a good omen of rejoicing and celebration: success, achievement, positive news, births, financial success, a relationship on the horizon, marriage, stability and overall happiness.
