Completion: Just a thought
"if you don't take the risk for love, then what do you take it for?"
so i recently attended a wedding; it was actually quite romantic. the couple met in high school and were immediately drawn to each other and from best friends became lovers and eleven years later on the day, they got married.
during the wedding this young woman went up and made a very simple speech which really touched me. she talked about when you meet the person you know you want to spent the rest of your life with, the person that you can spend hours with locked in a room and not be bored; she talked about how when the one was hungry, the other was always there ready to feed and when the other was down, the one was there ready to provide strength and support ... when you meet the person that you feel aligned to spiritually, emotionally, intellectually and sexually -- well, you found your life mate, your soul mate, the person who completes you and we should not settle for anything less; and you have to do everything in your power to keep that person in your life, fight all the fights you have to because that's the reason we're here living this life... just very fitting theme to what was a very romantic wedding.
It got me thinking, how lucky are people who find that connection in another and recognize it and have the courage to pursue it and fight for it ... I imagine that ultimately those are the people who find happiness
