coming full circle

Hi G---.

You may be on the verge of closing the door on an important chapter in your life right now and preparing to open another.

The World card represents a sense of fulfillment, integration and completion as you tie up one cycle and prepare to embark on another.

It completes the Fool's journey, and speaks of getting an overview of all you've accomplished as you look at how far you've come, what you have learned and how much you've grown as a person.

You could be putting the finishing touches on your resume and applying for jobs, transitioning from undergraduate to graduate schools, tying up loose ends on a project you're ready to launch, completing a self-improvement regimen, putting a failed relationship behind you and getting ready to step back into the dating scene, and so on.

The possibilities are endless, but they all have one thing in common -- the focus is not so much about endings as it is new beginnings. The World card says that you're putting something behind you in order to begin anew, a little higher up on the rungs this time.

There's a sense of everything being as it should be with this card. An understanding -- as you look back -- of why some of the hurdles you had to face were placed in your path or why some of the disappointments you had do deal with came at you when they did. Everything has lead to this, and everything is now exactly as it should be.

If you're having trouble relating to this narrative, think about what you've accomplished over the years. You're on the verge of putting the past to rest and in order to do so you must allow yourself to acknowledge a sense of accomplishment.

The World card represents the act of coming full-circle. In this respect, a part of what you've gained may be wisdom and knowledge — meaning that even the bumps along the way are productive. This card provides an overview of both how far you've come and the steps that need to be taken in order to tie up loose ends.

Ask yourself: “What is it I've learned through all that I've experienced in this chapter of my life?" and “What must I now give up in order to start anew?" If you can answer those two questions with honesty and humility, you'll be able to carry those lessons into the next chapter.

The World card is a card of both fulfillment and completion. With that in mind, it's time to put the finishing touches on projects that are almost finished, and also time to rest anything that just didn't pan out for you. You're preparing to start a whole new journey, and in doing so will want to have as clean a slate as possible.
