change change change ....
Funny -- I have been feeling quite disconnected lately ... something is off-- maybe it's a good omen that change is taking place, a rebirth of sorts ... a new, fresh start--but this time with better understanding and equipped for the journey!

Hi G****. The Path Of The Tower Represents Catastrophe, Defeat, Deception And Accidents…
The Tower Symbolizes Troubled Times, A Sudden Change That Makes You Feel Disconnected From Your Axis…
The Feeling Of The Tower Is The Most Uncomfortable And Explosively Transforming Experience…
The Story About Poseidon
In Greek Mythology, you meet Poseidon (the god of the sea, earthquakes and horses). Poseidon had three sisters (Demeter, Hestia, and Hera) and two brothers (Zeus and Hades). Poseidon was the son of Cronus, and his mother was Rhea. Poseidon was married to Amphitrite (the goddess of the sea), but he had many lovers, and Aphrodite (the goddess of love and beauty) was one of them.
Poseidon was the god that shook the earth with storms and earthquakes. In Mythic Tarot, there is a nasty storm in the distance. Poseidon is livid and pissed off and he is bringing out a massive storm, and the sea is boiling. The Tower represents (King Minos’s castle), and if you look closely at this card, you will see that his castle is falling apart and crumbling into rubble!
In legend, Poseidon became angered with King Minos because he promised to sacrifice a white bull to prove his loyalty as a ruler, and to prove his rights to the Cretan throne. But the King could not bring himself to part with the white bull, so he hid the bull in his flock, and switched it with a different animal to be sacrificed.
When Poseidon found out that Minos deceived him, he became livid, and called upon Aphrodite (the goddess of love and beauty) and asked her to put a spell on the King’s wife (Pasiphae). In legend, the spell made Pasiphae fall in love with the white bull and she gave birth to a Minotaur (half human and half bull). The spell created a monstrous Minotaur, which had the head of a bull, and the body of a man. The Minotaur became a nightmare because it fed on men and woman. The King had to hide the beast in the dark labyrinth under the palace, to keep the beast a secret.
King Minos lost everything because of his possessiveness. He had the reputation of clinging to his personal possessions. He was unable to let go of his possessions because he feared change. He let his possessions become the most important things in his life, which cost him everything in the end.
Have you ever found yourself clinging to your possessions and making them the most important part of your life? Did you know that when you cling to your possessions, your possessions give you the false sense of inner security?
Or have you ever picked a mate that was stronger than you because you were looking for inner security? Did your mate have all the qualities that you wished you had? In the meantime, did you become just like your mate? Did you lose your personality and became someone else, giving you with a false sense of security?
Interpretation Of The Tower
The Tower is not a welcome card because it calls for a destruction preceding a re-creation. An initial problem with the foundation never achieved correct resolution, and now a sudden catastrophe shatters your illusions and makes your Tower crumble. The Tower is about sudden and unexpected shock – such as a severing of a friendship, a discovery that your partner is having an affair, the death of a loved one, divorce, bankruptcy, or another terrible catastrophe.
This card symbolizes troubled times, a complete and sudden change that makes you feel disconnected from your axis. The feeling of the Tower is the most uncomfortable and explosively transforming experience, a wake-up call that blind-sides you, shakes the living daylights out of you, and lets you know that you are alive. Sometimes you are too blind to see the signs around you. You refuse to admit there are problems, so you turn away or tune the problem out because you feel it too unimportant to deal with.
If the Tower card comes out in your future position, take heed of the warning and examine your life because this card sneaks up on you with a sudden and shocking change. The most important revelation of truth is that tearing down of the old structure, however painful, makes room for something new to be built. Nothing should be built on a lie because it will not remain standing for long. It will be torn down and rebuilt with the truth.
Another meaning of the Tower is an abusive relationship that you remain in. You continue to suffer for many years because your ego feels crushed by the person you are with. You let the other person control your life, doing nothing because you feel that you are weak and incapable of making it on your own. Fear keeps you in stagnation. Your low self-esteem robs you of control, which you have given completely to the person that you are with, losing yourself.
The Reverse Meaning Of The Tower
The reverse meaning is entrapment in an unhappy situation and staying on the old path that is making you miserable. You are not accepting the improving power of change that can release you from your long-time bondage. Unwilling to move on, you remain stagnant on the same path.
Life Lessons: Always remember, the Major Arcana represents major life lessons, so if the Tower comes out in the outcome of the reading, the Tower represents that you are going through a difficult time, feeling disconnected from your axis, and experiencing a shocking crisis.
I hope that you have enjoyed the Tower! Are you going through a difficult time: a discovery that your partner is having an affair, a relationship break up, a separation, a divorce, or the loss of a job, the loss of a loved one, bankruptcy, or another terrible catastrophe.
