yeah, I remember you
still your memory lingers
and I wonder why all my defenses went up around you
why all the times you were ready to give yourself my core resisted
and yet that was always my fantasy ... to take you and make you mine
and it happened in all kinds of ways, from romantic to just animal lust
and yet there was always an emergency break pulled somewhere
I look back and wonder ... I still ask myself why
what was it about you that got the system to an all stop
all my conjectures have been just that--conjectures and bullshit
none worth a penny
the truth lies elsewhere
the best explanation I have come up with is that I was so much into you
that I was afraid to lose myself and not be able to pull back -- that is the best I can do
And still something inside me keeps calling out for you
