spiritual parasites
"negative times positive = negative" -- math axiom
so i recently went to a talk about spiritual growth and a very interesting idea was put forth ... negative spirits (in body or disembodied) that feed off the energy of others ... in other words, parasitical spirits. parasitical spirits, because of they are in a lower stage of spiritual evolution, feed off the spiritual energy of more evolved spirits. These parasites usually select spirits weakened by emotional of physical problems. The victims are usually spirits that have very low level of self love/low self esteem. The parasite usually takes the form of a loved or trusted one: a family member, a close friend, a lover ... they usually create a dependency, emotional, physical, sexual with their victim ... once the dependency is created, they will drain the energy of the victim. The victim will become physically and emotionally ill -- sleeplessness, depression, neurological or immunological issues develop -- all the while, the parasite gets stronger and even happier ... the parasite will show visible signs of physical improvement and their mood will be elevated while their victim languishes. In the case where the victim starts to recover, either because of physical or emotional distance, the parasite will become vexed, will show signs of anger, unhappiness, disapproval and will create situations that will throw their victim back into despair. The parasite needs to keep the victim dependent on it, and needs to keep the victim physically and emotionally weak so that it can easily manipulate it, even intimidate it. The parasite also places a lot of effort into isolating its victim. It needs to have complete control of it. It convinces the victim that there is an issue with friends and/or family members or disapprove either explicitly or by passive aggressive behaviors of any contact that is not approved--- this is normally done by withdrawing affection from its victim when the victim socializes with people the parasite does not approve of -- the victim either becomes friendless or it's circle is reduced to that of the parasite--even if it does not find the people interesting.
In the end, the victim becomes isolated, afraid to socialize, and physically or emotionally too weakened to even want to. The victim becomes too physically and emotionally tired to resist. At this point, the parasite has full control. The victim now just goes through the motions of living.
The parasite is also an interesting type of spirit. Normally a very insecure, vindictive and manipulative individual. These spiritual parasites have a low self image (not too be confused with low self esteem) and hold on to their victim because of fear that they will not find someone suitable to be with. Since they are at a lower evolutionary stage, they are still functioning at the prey/predator level. They often create codependent emotional or sexual bonds with their victims and therefore the victim becomes more and more attached to them--despite deep dissatisfaction with the relationship, and sooner or later with their entire life. Some of these victims become suicidal and often attempt suicide as a way to ask for help from something that they do not fully comprehend, or as a way to be rescued from their emotional void (now with very clear psycho/emotional and physical manifestations).
