We have agreed that time
(Tacit compromise)
Exists in succession
Yesterday today tomorrow
Are fictional posts on the road
To justify something
To explain a life

Time tracking is stagnation.
"Every moment is eternal"
Says a poet
And yet we count the seconds
And trace the distance they create
To explain away the force
That fuses us together

Time explains
The bleeding vein
That feeds the heart
Yet in this world
That projects us
Time is a boiling thought
