Timing, all about timing
Hi G***.
You arrive at the path of the fairest in the Land...
The Queen of Cups represents the irresistible allure of feminine beauty coupled with the mysteries of unfathomable feelings, a combination exuding almost magical power.
Queens represent "The Monumental Timing Cards" or the "Gossip Card" in my deck.
The Queens indicate the timing of an event relating to unconditional love, motherhood, fertility, pregnancy, and a fulfilling relationship. Gossip is related to an open enemy who wants to ruin your reputation because he or she is competing with you!
The Court Cards represent significant people who will enter your life. The Queen of Cups represents intuition and a woman who is emotional and nurturing. The Queen is older than the Knight and could possibly be married. She is sensitive, passionate, and determined, but leads with her heart rather than her head. Since she is ruled by her heart, she may remain mired in nostalgia and have a problem forgetting and forgiving.
Helen, Magnetic Beauty, War Starter
In Greek Mythology, you meet Helen, daughter of Zeus and Lyda, foster-daughter of King Tyndareos. Helen grew up to be a lovely woman and had many suitors among the Princes of Greece. From this princely pool, Helen chose and married Menelaus (eventually King of Sparta), but the marriage was doomed because Aphrodite (goddess of love) bribed the judge of a beauty contest (Trojan Prince Paris) by offering him the most beautiful woman in the world (Helen) if he picked Aphrodite as winner.
Paris and Helen eventually met, fell in love, and eloped. Menelaus reacted by starting the Trojan War which resulted in the death of Paris. During Helen's stay in Troy during this 10-year war, she had three lovers. After the Trojan defeat, King Menelaus went for Helen, wanting to kill her for her adultery. As soon as he saw her, Menelaus fell in love with Helen all over again, and returned with her to Sparta.
Helen was so mesmerizing because, no matter the reality, each suitor saw her as the perfect woman for him.
My Interpretation of the Queen Of Cups Tarot Card
The Queen of Cups is enumerated thirteen and represents the timing of a major unexpected turn in your life. This phase will show you what is not working (outdated way of thinking, outgrown lifestyle) thus occasioning a shift that will transform and restructure your path, hopefully for the better. The outcome of this event may be good or bad, depending on the crossing card.
The Queen is holding a golden cup (valuable, spiritual, sacred) and is at work, in deep prayer, connecting to the universe. A very spiritual and religious woman, she represents someone who is emotional, sensitive, affectionate, loving, and connected to unconditional love, motherhood, fertility, pregnancy, and a fulfilling relationship. She is a good friend and counselor because she has been through rough emotional times. Her friends and family adore her and count on her because she is honest and speaks from her heart.
The blue sky and blue water at her feet represents the Queen's thoughts and emotions. The Queen's feet and gown are in the shimmering water which represents her divine connection to the universe.
The green hills represent a future connected to excitement, happiness, inspiration, vitality, energy, and making clear decisions. Green represents fertility, growth, creativity, harmony and the feeling of calmness and comfort which is connected to the heart chakra (regulates emotional health). When the heart chakra is in balance you will love yourself and be able to love others unconditionally with compassion, trust, forgiveness, wisdom, stability and patience.
Positive Position: This card could represent gossip or indicate that a monumental change may happen or a revealed hidden secret may catch you by surprise. Cross the Queen with a clarifying card to understand the "Memo" and determine if the energies are positive or negative.
You could be reaching out for immediate assistance, or someone may need your help. The person involved may be a friend, family member, mother figure, authority figure, potential lover/marriage partner, or even an open enemy who is competing with you and wants to trash your reputation.
You may be unaware that you have a hidden enemy who is passing rumors about you. This person wants to trash your reputation to make themselves look better because they're competing with you.
Negative Position: The Queen represents gossip or a monumental change that has caught you by surprise. You may receive an unwelcome "Memo". The Queen is at her worst here, where only absolutes exist (black or white, devil or angel) and she tends to be either your friend or your resolute enemy ("The Unexpected Stinger!").
You might reach out for help to a friend, family member, mother figure, authority figure, potential lover, or an open enemy who is competing with you, or one of these people might be reaching out to you. Either way, the situation has taken a turn for the worse.
You may become aware of a hidden enemy (a competitor) who has been passing rumors about you and wants to trash your reputation to make themselves look better. You might be butting heads with someone and find that she has secret motives, or is your hidden enemy who wants to destroy your reputation because you disagree with her way of thinking.
Timing is usually immediate, within 1 – 3 days, or related to the fall season
